Just a little something fun I did tonight:
Only temporary. :)
I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a more permanent tattoo off and on for the past few years, but haven’t been brave enough to make that final step. One, I have a dislike of needles. I don’t even like getting shots. Heck, I don’t even like watching my pony get her shots. Two, I don’t have world’s greatest pain tolerance. Not sure that makes me the ideal candidate.
But I do like the idea of getting one with very personal meaning and symbolism…meaning something to do with my beloved heart-pony.
I’ve seen some very cool designs along the way…might see what I can manage to create in Photoshop.
It doesn't hurt that bad, really. I got a horse tattoo on my hip, for my first horse-love, and it was uncomfortable but nowhere near unbearable. And unless you ask to really stare at the gun up close, you can't see that it's needles. Wait til you get a design you love more than anything, then GO FOR IT!
I have a ladybug tattoo on the top of my foot. About the size of a dime. It took about 15 minutes to do! I got it to remember a friend that passed away =)
That actually makes me feel better than the responses of “You'll be fine, it doesn't hurt at all”. In my experience, “You'll be fine” is cause for worry. I have a friend that's a tattoo artist, so I want to see if I can get them to come up with some design ideas for me to fall in love with.
An excellent memorial. I have a dragonfly necklace I frequently wear for the same reason.
I now have 5 tattoos, and I can't say they hurt..it was more discomfort..some ticklish, some moments of “R@#$(*&&^!” but those were brief. And all worth it, because I love what they symbolize :) 2 for my family and 3 to do with horses. Dunno if you saw my post from earlier this month when I got my latest done: http://redheadedendurance.blogspot.com/2012/02/im-back.html
I did see those…the lettering on the text is beautiful. Definitely the love idea of turning the crescents into a tribal horse head.
