My heart horse. The equation of green-broke 3-year-old pony + young rider never should have worked, but it did, and better than I ever could have asked for or imagined. Mimi exemplifies all the POA is bred for in versatility, performance, temperament, and conformation; extra bonus points for beauty and personality plus. We did every the POA shows offered for performance, from Western and English Pleasure to jumping, reining, trail, and gymkhana; but she really came alive when we discovered competitive distance riding. Her heart lies on the endurance trail, and although she’s retired from competition, she still loves nothing more than getting out for a good day of exploring new trails. She is, however, a pony and a mare, so has the ability to make life very interesting.
